YUJ Yoga Studio was established in 2022 by founder, Allison Gonzalez. The entire Yuj Yoga team is made up of expert yoga and pilates teachers who have a passion for supporting your mind and body. While classes will differ in energy and pace, you'll find that there is something for everyone.

Founder/Teacher

E-RYT 500, Trauma Informed Teacher

Allison has been teaching yoga in Fargo since 2019 and opened YUJ in 2022 with the mission to bring people together after the self-isolating pandemic. Her classes are often inspired by Ayurveda, the chakras, and her own self-study in self-compassion. Whether you're new to yoga or looking to restart your journey home to the self, Allison wants you to know that you can come to YUJ exactly as you are today.

Ashleigh

Studio Manager/Teacher

RYT 200, YIN Certified

Ashleigh has been teaching for 3 years in the F/M area. She is known for her energizing hot yoga classes and empowering personality. More than anything, Ashleigh enjoys connecting with new students and getting to know them. Outside of yoga, you can find her spending time with her cats, gardening, thrifting, and being around family and friends.

Abby embodies the perfect balance of strength and softness. She will support, encourage, and motivate you to be the best version of yourself on and off the mat. Outside of the yoga studio, she is hard-working nurse, cat mom, and thoughtful friend.

David

RYT 200, Katonah Yoga® Certified

David has dedicated years of his life to yoga and dance. Not only has he gone on tour, but he has traveled to NYC to learn from the creator of Katonah Yoga®. His classes are rooted in yoga philosophy, alignment, metaphor, and play. Outside of yoga, he participates in theatrical arts as one of Trollwood's main stage choreographers and is an adoring cat dad.

We can't imagine YUJ without Nichole's creative spirit and positive vibe. Her gentle yoga classes are inspired by her work as an artist and the creator of The Art Of Daily practice.

Sami's personality can turn any frown upside down. Her approach to yoga is rooted in body-positivity and she enjoys holding space for students no matter their skill-level. Never hesitate to ask her questions about her most recent travels or puppy dogs. She is our globe trotter and fur baby loving pilates and yoga teacher.

Shelly doesn't just teach movement, she coaches it, embodies it, and elevates it through high-energy sculpt and mat pilates classes. As a licensed nutritionist and personal trainer, you're in the hands of someone who has been doing this work for over 10 years and cares deeply about longevity.

NaShea is inspired by the beauty, strength, and balance that yoga brings. She enjoys the practice of meditation and creating spaces for others to slow down, reconnect with themselves, and move with intention.

Casey leads her classes with heart and wisdom. She loves connecting with others and creating spaces where everyone feels seen and supported. Her Yin classes are slow and soothing for students at all-levels. When she's not teaching, Casey can be found supporting the arts, riding her bike, or creating memorable moments with her family.

Lexi may have a gentle demeanor, but don't let that sweet smile fool you. Her light-weight pilates workouts target deep stabilizing muscles - the power house of your body. Her classes are accessible for students at all-levels, including beginners.

Liz is a natural born teacher in and outside of the studio. Her energizing personality and creative sequences are inspired by her background in Yogahour® which is a specific style of yoga founded by instructor Darren Rhodes. It is designed as a vigorous yet accessible hatha-style flow class.

Karla has taught hundreds of students over the last 35 years in the fitness industry. She has a passion for holistic wellness, is an Ayurvedic Yoga Specialist, and is is a member of Thai Healing Alliance International. You'll walk away with new insight and a refreshing outlook on life when you attend one of her yoga or Yamuna myofascial sessions.

Trina is deeply grateful to share the nurturing practices of yoga with other amazing humans. She always wants her students to feel welcomed and valued just as they are. Trina also enjoys biking, attending live concerts, and doing pretty much anything alongside her husband Jason.

Karly is known for helping women reconnect with their truth, heal wounds beneath the surface, & step into their power with clarity & confidence. She holds space for deep transformation, spiritual connection, & radical self-love. She enjoys teaching Nidra and other classes at YUJ because of the empowering and caring community.

We love having Ashley at YUJ  because she not only has a fun personality, but she holds space in her own authentic way. Her classes include yoga philosophy and are accessible for students at all-levels. Fun Fact: She is the owner of Studio NoMo, a beautiful sauna and cold plunge facility located near Downtown Fargo.

  • How do I register for class?

    To make a reservation, please click the 'schedule' tab to view upcoming class times.  You may call or text the studo's number for assitance, or email hello@yujyogafargo.com.

  • What should I expect for my first class at YUJ?

    We love new people and can’t wait to meet you! Wear comfy clothes and be prepared to be in socks or barefoot. If you’re attending a heated class we recommend bringing a towel and full water bottle. We have cubbies for belongings you may not want in the studio. B Yoga mats and props are provided at no extra cost. Please arrive approximately ten minutes prior to the start of class to sign in and have an instructor help you get settled in. Please contact us if you’re running behind. For your safety, we lock the doors at the start of each class.

  • How do I cancel a class?

    Login to your Walla account on our website or visit the Walla App. Click “My Schedule” and the classes you’re currently registered for will appear. Next to the class you'd like to cancel, click the 3 dots and choose “Cancel”. You must cancel class two hours before the class start time to keep your pass and avoid a $10 fee. If you no show class, you will lose your pass and be charged $15. If you are running late email or text the studio in advance. We lock the doors at the start of class time.

  • Where are you located?

    YUJ Yoga Studio is located inside the black Mosaic District building in North Fargo. Please park in the Mosaic District parking lot. Our entrance is located on the south side of the building next to The Foundry. We are conveniently located near NDSU, only 2 short blocks away from Drekker. Enjoy a post-yoga coffee at Thunder Coffee or a sweet treat from Nichole’s Bakery located inside Brewhalla.

  • What are the benefits of Infrared Heat?

    Unlike forced air systems, infrared panels do not circulate air in the room, limiting the spread of dust and other allergens (a definite selling point for us in light of the recent pandemic). The heat emitted by the panels will be absorbed by objects including your body which has been shown to relieve pain, decrease inflammation, and boost the immune system.

  • Are all of your yoga classes heated?

    No, we offer 3 levels of heat depending on what you’re looking for. Non-Heated (75 degrees) Heated (75-90 degrees) Hot (90-102 degrees).

  • Have you downloaded the Walla App?

    Download the Walla App mobile app and sign in to easily book classes, view studio announcements, and manage your notifications.

  • How can I book a private class or event?

    We love hosting private parties complete with snacks , drinks, and decorations. Please message us at hello@yujyogafargo.com to get started.

  • I am pregnant. Can I practice yoga at YUJ?

    We recommend consulting a medical professional before attending any of our yoga classes.

  • I’d like to apply for a Yoga Scholarship. How can I do that? 

    If you’re interested in applying for a yoga scholarship please email hello@yujyogafargo.com with 5-10 sentences explaining why you’d personally benefit from a heavily discounted or FREE unlimited membership. We review emails each quarter and will send you a reply after your applicaiton has been processes.


  • Do I get my first class FREE?

    Yes, your first class is free. Please email us at hello@yujyogafargo.com with the class you're interested in attending and we'll take care of you from there.
