Our team

Meet the YUJ dream team

Allison

Founder/Instructor

RYT 500 and trauma informed certified instructor

Allison has been instructing yoga since 2019 when she finished her 200 RYT. During the pandemic she completed her 300 RYT and became a trauma certified instructor. It wasn't until 2021 that her big dream, YUJ Yoga Studio, came to life. The studio is inspired by the wonderful community of students, mentors, and teachers she met while teaching yoga in Fargo. Outside of the studio you may find her tending her garden or cuddling with her cat.

Ashleigh

Studio Manager/Instructor

RYT 200 and yin certified instructor

Ashleigh has been teaching for 2 years in the F/M area. She is known for her energizing hot yoga classes and empowering personality. More than anything, Ashleigh enjoys connecting with new students and getting to know them. Outside of yoga, you can find her spending time with her cats, gardening, thrifting, and being around family and friends.

Kayla

Instructor

RYT 200, MTT 200, RN

Kayla's approach to yoga is rooted in meditation and mindfulness. Not only is she a fantastic yoga teacher, but she enjoys dancing, traveling, and getting out in nature. She loves teaching at YUJ because of the community and the warm embrace she has received.

Michaela

Instructor

RYT 200

Michaela enjoys teaching Hatha classes that allow students to tune into their bodies. Outside of the studio she is a wife, mom of three and loves being outside on her family's country property. At her day job, she helps entrepreneurs grow their small business dreams.

Trina

Instructor

RYT 200, MS Counseling

Trina is deeply grateful to share the nurturing practices of yoga with other amazing humans. She always wants her students to feel welcomed and valued just as they are. Besides being a phenomenal yoga teacher, Trina also enjoys biking, attending live concerts, and doing pretty much anything alongside her husband Jason.

Gina

Instructor

RYT 200

Gina has been teaching yoga at YUJ since our doors first opened. Not only is she a dedicated yoga teacher and friend, but she is a wife who loves the mountains and has a great green thumb. Our studio plants wouldn't thrive without Gina's care.

David

Instructor

RYT 200, Katonah Yoga Certified

David has dedicated years of his life to yoga and dance. Not only has he gone on tour, but he has traveled to NYC to learn from the creator of Katonah Yoga. His classes are rooted in philosophy, alignment, and play. Outside of yoga, he participates in theatrical arts and is an adoring cat dad.

Michelle

Instructor

200 RYT, Yoga Nidra, Yin, Sound Bowls

We can't imagine YUJ without Michelle's gentle spirit and approach to yoga. Her favorite class to teach is VinYin because it's the best of both worlds. She has enjoyed teaching at YUJ because of the amazing natural light and energy.

Sami

Instructor

RYT 200

Sami's personality can turn any frown upside down. Her approach to yoga is rooted in body-positivity and she enjoys holding space for students no matter their skill-level. Never hesitate to ask her questions about her most recent travels. She is our globe trotter.

FAQs

If you have questions that aren't answered here, please contact us!

  • What should I expect for my first class at YUJ?

We love new people and can’t wait to meet you! Wear comfy clothes and be prepared to be in socks or barefoot. If you’re attending a heated class we recommend bringing a towel and full water bottle. We have cubbies for belongings you may not want in the studio. B Yoga mats and props are provided at no extra cost. Please arrive approximately ten minutes prior to the start of class to sign in and have an instructor help you get settled in. Please contact us if you’re running behind. For your safety, we lock the doors at the start of each class.

  • How do I register for class?

We encourage pre-registration to ensure you’ll have a spot in class. To make a reservation, please visit our schedule page and sign in/create an account. You may call or text our studio’s phone number for assistance.

  • Have you downloaded the Walla App?

  • How do I cancel a class?

Login to your Walla account on our website or visit the Walla App. Click “My Schedule” and the classes you’re currently registered for will appear. When you find the class you need to cancel click on the 3 dots and choose “Cancel”. A class will be deducted from your package if you no-show.

  • Are all of your yoga classes heated?

No, we offer 3 levels of heat depending on what you’re looking for. Non-Heated (75 degrees) Heated (75-90 degrees) Hot (90-102 degrees).

  • What are the benefits of Infrared Heat?

Unlike forced air systems, infrared panels do not circulate air in the room, limiting the spread of dust and other allergens (a definite selling point for us in light of the recent pandemic). The heat emitted by the panels will be absorbed by objects including your body which has been shown to relieve pain, decrease inflammation, and boost the immune system.

  • I am pregnant. Can I practice yoga at YUJ?

We recommend consulting a medical professional before attending any of our yoga classes. However, all of our non-heated classes are safe for expecting mothers.

  • Where are you located?

YUJ Yoga Studio is located inside the black Mosaic District building in North Fargo. Please park in the Mosaic District parking lot. Our entrance is located on the south side of the building next to The Foundry. We are conveniently located near NDSU, only 2 short blocks away from Drekker. Enjoy a post-yoga coffee at Thunder Coffee or a sweet treat from Nichole’s Bakery located inside Brewhalla.
